SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union: Officials and employees of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Region 1 headed by Regional Director Ronnel Tan have expressed their support to two ongoing and separate investigations of alleged massive graft and corruption at the DPWH that are each being conducted by a task force created by President Rodrigo Duterte and DPWH Secretary Mark Villar.

At the same time, Tan and the other officials denied that the DPWH Region 1 has condoned allegedly overpriced ghost projects and alleged connivance between politicians and district engineers in awarding infrastructure projects to contractors within their jurisdictions.
