THE local government unit (LGU) of Gen. Trias, Cavite has turned over to the Schools Division here various teaching tools to help approximately 73,00 students of public elementary and secondary schools in the city. Turned over were three units of Riso Comcolor with offset stapling and one unit, high-speed inkjet printer, which is capable of printing 120 pages per minute. This printer has 24/7 printing operations capability, sorting functions and built-in standard hard disk available for printing modules, activity sheets and worksheets, used by students in their home studies. The LGU also provided more than 300 desktop computers with computer tables, bond paper and printer ink to schools to be used by teachers as they create the weekly home-learning plan and other learning materials for different modalities. According to Mayor Antonio Ferrer, the goal of the LGU is to continue raising the level of education despite the challenges that the country faces.
