It took more than half a year for the pandemic curve to begin to flatten in the Philippines. Complacency could easily undermine many of the gains in weeks, especially if border security continues to be compromised.
AT first sight, the Philippines seems to have got a handle on the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic. Thanks to stringent quarantines, the epidemic curve has been bending but only since early fall (see Figure 1).
