THE Dagyaw Regional Town Hall meetings will go virtual this year with focus on recovery efforts from the coronavirus pandemic. “Dagyaw” is a Hiligaynon word that directly translates to “togetherness.” It was chosen as the event brand because it exemplifies the Filipino spirit of bayanihan or cooperation. Philippine Information Agency Regional Director William Beltran said since 2018, the Participatory Governance Cluster of the Cabinet has been spearheading the annual activity attended by groups and individuals from the government and non-government sector. In Central Luzon, Dagyaw 2020 shall consists of two episodes with the first one slated Thursday, October 29 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The program,“Usapang Trabaho: Ekonomiya sa Panahon ng Pandemya”, will have National Economic and Development Authority OIC-Regional Director Agustin Mendoza, Department of Trade and Industry Officer in Charge-Assistant Regional Director Leonila Baluyut from the Department of Agriculture. Regional Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division Chief Arthur Dayrit and United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization National Emergency Coordinator Alberto Aduna.
