EMBATTLED Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) will abide by the Office of the Ombudsman’s order suspending eight of its top officials due to the alleged anomalous releases under the Interim Reimbursement Mechanism (IRM) program.

The IRM, which was put in place in 2013, allowed PhilHealth to disburse funds to health care facilities and institutions to augment their funding needs amid natural calamities and disasters.
