THE National Capital Region (NCR) it Metro Manila will remain under a less restrictive general community quarantine (GCQ) from November 1 to 30 as the country’s total coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases reached more than 370,000.President Rodrigo Duterte made the announcement in a taped address to the nation aired on Tuesday morning, following a meeting with the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.Apart from Metro Manila, Duterte said the provinces of Batangas and Lanao del Sur and cities of Iloilo, Bacolod, Tacloban and Iligan would also be under GCQ for a month.To date, the country has recorded 371,630 Covid-19 cases, including 7,039 deaths and 328,258 recoveries.
