A combination of developments here and abroad amid the Covid-19 pandemic has strengthened the Philippine peso, which analysts say is great news for importers.
Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) chief economist Michael Ricafort said the currency had appreciated by a total of P2.10 or 4.2 percent against the dollar since the start of the year.
