Ride-hailing company Angkas’ motorcycle taxi pilot study may resume soon after a government official raised this possibility in the hope of ensuring sufficient public transportation for workers in Metro Manila.

During the Ingat Angat Tayong Lahat virtual briefing on Thursday, Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., chief implementer of the Philippines’ Declared National Policy Against Covid-19, said the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases would discuss with Congress on extending the study in the hope of bolstering the National Capital Region’s mass transit system.
