WHILE fusion is an accepted dictum in both culinary and visual arts, interfusionism is a style which artist and gallery consultant Sir Levi Yu called an idea that many are using but no one knows what it is.

“Interfusionism is a style where the artist uses parts of other artists’ style or technique and blends it with other styles and techniques to convey another story. It doesn’t promote fakeness or plagiarism but it gives honor to the artists whom the creator gets his inspiration from. It’s like in culinary arts where one can create a meatball caldereta, for instance. It’s fusion of dishes but the originality lies in the inventor of the fusion, not the dish,” he said about his art.
