PRIOR to the mandated lockdowns in a bid to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), the five Desti-Nations already had a large pool of potential workers on standby.
Josh Frydenberg, the treasurer of Australia, recently spoke before members of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and told them that even if the country were to experience the slowest rate of population growth in over a hundred years, there are already “more than 2 million foreigners in temporary visas registered in June.”
