Congratulations, President Rodrigo Duterte, for encouraging the leaders of the world to implement the 2015 Paris commitments. Thank you for telling them that our country cannot afford to suffer more. We hope that what you said is what you really meant, and that it is no joke. But until now your administration right in your backyard has not seriously implemented the Paris commitments in the Philippines.

Instead of implementing our laws to use renewal energy, your administration continues to rely on the use of coal-fired power plants, which are the worst carbon emitters.
