More members of the Philippine Association of Feed Millers Inc. (Pafmi) have placed orders for Isabela province’s corn following reports of improved harvests of high-quality corn there.
Pafmi President Nicole Sarmiento-Garcia reported this move to Agriculture Secretary William Dar during a recent meeting. Dar’s office linked Pafmi to Isabela Gov. Rodolfo Albano in July in an effort to encourage local government units, corn farmers and private-sector coordination in corn sourcing.
