US lawmaker eyes suspension of PH aid over rights concerns

A United States lawmaker proposed a bill suspending aid to the Philippine military and police because of the human rights situation in the country under President Rodrigo Duterte.

Democratic Rep. Susan Wild (Pennsylvania) authored and filed the Philippine Human Rights Act backed by 23 other lawmakers.
