THE Insurance Commission (IC) has no jurisdiction over complaints that an insurance agent may bring against his or her insurance company concerning their contract of agency.
Insurance companies, whether life or non-life companies, are regulated by the IC. As such, any concerns and complaints of their clients or policyholders should be lodged with the commission when the two parties fail to reach an amicable settlement.
