THERE is no evidence that humans can get infected by the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) through food or its ingredients, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said on Friday.

The FDA issued the statement in response to a query by the Philippine Association of Meat Processors Inc. after the Department of Agriculture (DA) banned meat imported from Brazil as these could be carriers of the novel coronavirus.
