COTABATO CITY: The Ministry of Labor and Employment of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MoLE-BARMM) has allocated more than P60 million for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) Assistance Program (CAP) intended for 12,037 workers from the formal sector of the region. MoLE Minister Romeo Sema said the program aims to help especially those establishments that are mostly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The fund was approved by the Office of the Chief Minister last month and was released by the Ministry of Finance and Budget Management to the Labor ministry recently.

Sema said the Bureau of Labor Relations and Standards (BLRS) was in the process of preparing the requireddocuments for the fund’s eventual release to the recipient workers in various establishments in BARMM.
