SEN. Francis “Tol” Tolentino on Thursday cautioned the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) against its plan to sell a portion of the country’s gold reserves, saying the BSP may be violating the law since the country is under a national emergency because of the pandemic.

Tolentino made the manifestation during the Senate Committee on Finance’s deliberation on the proposed P4.5-trillion National Expenditure Program for 2021.
