Illustration of the radar surveillance system
The contract between the Department of National Defense of the Republic of the Philippines (DND) and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (Melco) was concluded to deliver four Melco manufactured air surveillance radar systems as part of the Cooperation to Enhance the Philippines’ Capacity in Vigilance and Surveillance based on the Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Philippines concerning the transfer of defense equipment and technology.
