If we must endure quarantine for another month, let’s do it right

AS I predicted in my column of August 27 (“Fear of Covid-19 overblown, IATF a policy wreck”), the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) persisted in recommending to President Rodrigo Duterte the extension of the community quarantine. It lobbied and got another 30 days for the policy even though it has no results to show about its effectiveness or the benefits of shutting down the economy.
