Dear PAO,
My mother and John lived together for almost 20 years. John was legally married to Karen, but they were separated-in-fact when my mother came into the picture. John eventually died; however, before his death, he told my mother that he wanted to be buried in his hometown. Karen opposed the same and she claimed that she must be followed with respect to the funeral arrangement. My mother asserted that her decision should be followed since Karen and John were already separated. Who will decide when it comes to this matter?
