To bolster growth in the country’s farm sector, Agriculture Secretary William Dar wants to increase his department’s budget for digital agriculture, which is seen as a key in sustaining the growth of the industry amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Guesting at The Manila Times online forum titled “Food Security through Agribusiness and Digitalization” on Thursday, Dar underscored the importance of allocating sufficient funds for the programs of the Department of Agriculture (DA) that incorporate digital technology and innovative approaches.
