House suspends Charter change deliberations

THE House of Representatives' Committee on Constitutional Amendments will defer deliberations on Charter change (Cha-Cha) to focus on the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic response, panel chairman Rufus Rodriguez said.

“The Committee on Constitutional Amendments, following the Speaker’s (Alan Peter Cayetano) suggestion, will meet in January or February next year. We have to concentrate on the measures against Covid 19 and the 2021 proposed budget,” he said.
