TO most people I have met and got acquainted with, I have gotten to educate them on what architects really do and the differences their work entails compared to other professionals, especially engineers. For one, architecture by profession in its academic curriculum is actually an art and at the same time a science, while the rest of the technical professions all deal with sciences.

Designed by Arch. Teofilo I. Vasquez, the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) National Headquarters, dubbed as ‘The Home of the Filipino Architects,’ is now standing proudly along Scout Rallos in Quezon City with the concept of an edifice executed along simple lines of glass and steel; the design embodied the character, identity and aspiration of the UAP, a symbol of strength and unity among Filipino architects.
