MEMBERS of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) were invited by Malacañang on Friday to become "resource persons" in crafting policies meant to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the country.
Palace spokesman Harry Roque Jr. made the statement after the PCCI, the country’s largest business group, appealed to the government to include the private sector in consultations with the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) for recommendations regarding community quarantines and the resumption of economic activities.
