SOME 10,000 expatriate seafarers have already been repatriated after being stranded for months aboard ships anchored at the Manila Bay since April due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic, according to the Bureau of Immigration (BI).
As of August 19, a total of 9,854 foreign seamen were already by BI boarding inspectors and cleared to leave the country.
