A “more infectious” strain of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) virus was found in the samples tested by the University of the Philippines-Philippine Genome Center (PGC) in Quezon City.
But health officials said this should not cause panic since this strain has not yet been detected in other parts of the country.
