Listed Puregold Price Club Inc. reported a 20.1-percent bigger consolidated net income in the first half to P3.4 billion from P2.83 billion in the same period last year. In a regulatory filing on Friday, the retail store operator said its consolidated net sales for the period was up 15.1 percent to P82 billion from P71.2 billion last year. Of the revenues, 76 percent was attributed to the Puregold Stores network, while the remaining 24 percent came from the S&R Membership warehouse clubs and S&R New York Style Pizza stores. Puregold stores registered a 9.2-percent better same store sales growth (SSSG) in the first six months, while S&R’s SSSG climbed by 12 percent during the period. As of end June, the group has a total store network of 444 nationwide, which includes 385 Puregold stores, 20 S&R membership shopping warehouses and 39 S&R New York Style QSR, with a total net selling area of about 580,000 square meters.
