For the first time, the University of Santo Tomas (UST) opened Academic Year 2020-2021 with an online Mass of the Holy Spirit, or Misa de Apertura, on August 12, as a result of the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) over Metro Manila and surrounding provinces.

The mass was celebrated on UST’s official Facebook page and was filmed from the UST Santisimo Rosario Parish Church at 9 a.m.
