First the bad news: The Philippines now has 143,749 cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) as of Wednesday, the Department of Health (DoH) said.
Now, for some positive news: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the sale and distribution of "Lian Qua Hing Wen", a tablet that has been used as a "cure" for mild and moderate Covid cases in China, according to its embassy in Manila.
