Covid cases slowed during MECQ – expert

The uptrend in coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in Metro Manila and neighboring areas slowed down during the enforcement of the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), a researcher from the University of the Philippines (UP) reported.

As a result, the total number of Covid cases would be in the vicinity of 190,000 cases by the end of August, according to Prof. Guido David of the UP Institute of Mathematics and a member of the UP Octa Research Team.
