BACOLOD CITY: The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) owes 21 hotels and inns in Bacolod City P17.5 million in accommodation fees for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
Five of the establishments had already refused to accept OFWs anymore unless they were paid by OWWA, Councilor Israel Salanga, head of the Action Team on Returning OFWs, said.
