Covid-19 still a threat in Cebu

IT’s general community quarantine take two for Cebu City after six weeks of enhanced community quarantine, the last two weeks of which were modified. Imperial Manila with its court of czars has allowed for the slow reopening of economic activity in this Queen City of the South.

The rise in new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections in Cebu City has been put under control, for now. The most recent daily count that went beyond 100 was on July 21 with 147 cases — the 67 courtesy of the Philippine National Police, whose regional headquarters is located in Cebu City. More than 130 police trainees, whose course started last July 2, were infected at the training facility.
