President Rodrigo Duterte said telecommunications companies (telcos) could bring their complaints to Cabinet secretaries regarding delays in releasing permits for putting up telecommunications towers and that his order to the Cabinet was to take “the most drastic measure” it could find.
In a meeting with Duterte last week, Globe Telecom President and Chief Executive Officer Ernest Cu opined that as many as 29 permits needed to be acquired from government entities and local officials before the company could build the towers.
