‘Dindo’ exits PAR, heads for Japan

TROPICAL depression “Dindo” (international name: “Hagupit”) was expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) today, August 3, and move toward the southern Ryukyu Islands in Japan, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

No tropical cyclone wind signals were raised as Dindo remained far from the Philippine land mass. The occasional light to moderate and, at times, heavy rain that was experienced over Luzon, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao in the past week was due largely to the southwest monsoon, Pagasa said.
