MORE than a thousand violators of backriding rules imposed by the government were accosted by the police and cited with violations of traffic laws, a day after the deadline for setting up barriers on motorcycles lapsed, the Philippine National Police (PNP) announced on Sunday.
For its figures on August 1, the PNP’s Joint Task Force Covid Shield recorded a total of 1,350 violators of the back riding regulations laid down by the National Task Force Against Covid-19.
