THE Makati City government will conduct a “large-scale” flu and pneumonia vaccination drive for its residents amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic, Mayor Abigail "Abby" Binay announced on Thursday.
“We want to give our Makatizens added protection against the coronavirus. Giving everyone flu and pneumonia vaccines, especially the most vulnerable sectors, will improve their resistance to SARS-CoV-2 — the cause of Covid-19 infection,” Binay said in a statement.
