THE coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic saw a "massive change in consumer behavior", according to the top official of an online shopping service.

“We saw that essentials, groceries were being purchased on a click of 15x (times) versus a normal pre-Covid. We saw an increase in the use of our wallet, Lazada wallet. And (a) lot more people doing (a) live stream. So we have a live stream facility on our hub and people can watch sellers here and influencers talk about products and we saw three times more viewers during Covid time,” said Lazada PH’s Chief Executive Officer Rey Alimurung on Thursday.
