Reopening the economy at 'pre-Covid-19 levels' is not an option, President Rodrigo Duterte said as infections continue to increase nationwide.

In his fifth State of the Nation Address, Duterte reiterated that reopening the economy should be gradual, citing the experience of other countries that saw a resurgence of cases of coronavirus disease after the lifting of lockdown measures.
