SEN. Franklin Drilon defended himself from President Rodrigo Duterte's tirades for his alleged comments on the closure of media giant ABS-CBN.

In an interview over DZBB teleradyo, Drilon clarified in Filipino that he supported the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN because what he was fighting for were "press freedom" and the loss of jobs of 11,000 workers. He said he didn't owe the Lopezes anything.
