San Lazaro Hospital staff protest ‘deplorable’ working conditions

NURSES and health workers from San Lazaro Hospital held an online 'silent' protest on Friday against their 'execrable' conditions as they fight the Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Ulysees Arcilla, president of the San Lazaro Hospital Employees Association, said many health workers in their ranks are getting infected due to the lack of personal protective equipment (PPE), the non-implementation of free mandatory regular testing for all health workers, lack of manpower and overworked frontliners.
