In the last column, we mentioned Coach Rajko Toroman’s declaration that the Philippines is unlucky since basketball has embraced “small ball.” Is this correct?
If we base the pronouncement on the NBA, Toroman is not really correct. The average height in the NBA has remained steady for the last 30 years, hovering at 6’7. This is probably the ideal height in basketball when you consider that Michael Jordan (6’6 generous) and LeBron James (6’8) are the prototype players and they are close to that range.
