But for entrepreneurs who are starting out or have run their businesses informally and postposed registering for quite some time, it’s certainly a task they should look into completing as soon as possible.
BIR registration is one of the most important prerequisites in doing business in the Philippines. After all, you cannot operate without a tax identification number (TIN), which you can only get through registration. The bureau assigns this nine-digit number to every individual and corporate taxpayer in the country, one that they can use to identify and track registrants, and keep records of them.
