TARAKA, LANAO DEL SUR: The Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) will finance six solar-powered irrigation projects that will benefit the town’s rice farmers and deliver potable water for residents. The projects will be funded with a P218-million development loan from the DBP and administered by the MinDA Water Supply Program of the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA). The project aims to increase rice harvests from its 2,000-hectare rice fields and alleviate the town from poverty.
