Sabotage is being eyed behind recent power trip-offs in Iloilo City, particularly in the major faults that occurred in the Feeder 4 network of the Mandurriao substation that led to extended unscheduled power interruptions over the weekend.
On Saturday night, distribution utility More Electric and Power Corp. (MORE Power) received a series of reports of alleged “mysterious” loose connections along the primary wire traversing Q Abeto Street, Mandurriao across Iloilo Supermart leading to trip-offs. MORE Power response teams initiated the restoration of power in the affected area , but more trip-offs occurred in the same area.
