The alleged leader of a robbery group in Negros Occidental was arrested on Sunday afternoon in Cauayan, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
The Cauayan Municipal Police Station identified the suspect as Francisco Epogon, 30, a resident of Barangay San Jose, Sipalay. Judge Rodney Magbanua, presiding judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 61 in Kabankalan City, had issued a warrant of arrest against Epogon dated Feb. 28, 2020. The suspect faces charges of robbery in band with a recommended bail of P100,000. The Cauayan police and the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office recovered a grenade from Epogon.
