Doctor: Beijing outbreak under control

BEIJING: The chief epidemiologist of the China Center for Disease Control and Prevention said Beijing’s latest coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak had already been brought under control, but warned new cases would emerge in the next two days, assuring that the number would dwindle.

When asked if Beijing’s outbreak was under control, Wu Zunyou said it was, explaining at a Thursday conference that despite Beijing reporting confirmed cases every day, this did not mean all cases were newly infected.
