THE incidence of dengue in the country dropped to nearly 50 percent in the first half of 2020, lower than the cases recorded in the same period last year, the Department of Health (DoH) said on Tuesday.
Citing data from its Epidemiology Bureau, the DoH said that 50,169 cases of dengue were recorded from January 1 to May 30 this year compared to the 92,808 in the same period in 2019.
