The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has issued a show-cause order to the Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) for allegedly violating the regulator’s directives on electricity bills during the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
This comes after the commission had issued several advisories that gave power consumers a grace period for the payment of electricity bills whose due dates fall within the ECQ and its modified form, which lasted for a total of two and a half months.
