Shabu seized in Zamboanga buy-bust operation

ZAMBOANGA CITY: Close to half a million pesos worth of suspected shabu was seized by local policemen late last week in separate anti-illegal drug operations in this city, police said. Maj. Julius Dao-an, Police Station 5 commander, led the first buy-bust at Barangay Putik, which resulted in the arrest of Jayvee Caracena Siegue, 30, single, and Robert Perez Elliot, 28, of Barangay Zambowood. Dao-an said 15 sachets of suspected shabu with estimated street value of P25,000 and P500 marked money were taken from the two suspects. In the second operation, Police Station 10 personnel headed by Capt. Albin Cabayacruz arrested Faisal Ismael, a driver and a native of Jolo, Sulu, at Barangay Santa Barbara. Seized from the suspect were nine sachets of suspected shabu with estimated value of P10,000,a kitchen knife and P500 marked money. Police Station 4 officers headed by Maj. Chester Natividad busted and arrested Ashraf Mujamil and Wesley Alimbo and recovered from the two suspects 12 sachets of suspected valued at some P9,400 and P500 marked money in Barangay Talabaan.
