The eight persons arrested by police last Friday during a protest against the Anti-Terrorism bill at the University of the Philippines (UP) Cebu were released without bail on Monday, although donations they received to effect their temporary freedom had reached P1.27 million.
In an online news conference, the Youth Act Now Against Tyranny (Yanat)- Cebu expressed its gratitude to all those who contributed their moral, logistical, financial and other forms of support for the eight persons collectively called “Cebu 8”.
